Ro spends the day with Mistress Tyree...

Evil GM: Ok, we left off with Tyree just ending the song. Ro's sitting on the edge of the bed and Tyree on the ledge of the window

Ro looks at Tyree,'beautifull song,mi'lady'

Lady Tyree: As I said, I was inspired to write it only hours ago.

Ro: "i never wrote a song hehe' Ro shamely giggles

Lady Tyree: You will.

Lady Tyree: Now, tell me, why did this inspiration come to me? It was divinely inspired, but why?

Ro raises an eyebrow

Ro: Well... the only reason i can think of is that Ayonae Ro spoke to me,' Ro says while she turns red

Lady Tyree: You've been blessed. Many of us go through life without ever meeting their gods

Ro: I didn't know she was a god, nor that she was my god. So i told her that I already had a god on which she replied she would kill me if i didn't believe in her. but i don't know anything about her so i don't know what i should believe in nor who she is and what she stand for,' Ro rambles speaking very fast

Ro: So she told me i got time to found out who she is and time to start believing and accepting her so please please if you can, tell me something about her,' Ro goes on

Lady Tyree: Well, lets see. Ayonae Ro is the daughter of Druzzil Ro. She was born mortal and ascended...though nobody really has a date for this. It was a long time ago.

Lady Tyree: In her humanity, it was said she was a great musician. She could weave magic with her voice and her insturments. I suppose it only made sense once she became a goddess, that she would become the mother of the bard.

Lady Tyree: Anyone can play an insturment or sing, but not everyone can do it with magic. That is reserved for only a select number of souls, and we make up the League of Antonican Bards.

Ro: but...' Ro tries to get a word in

Lady Tyree: but what? (raises an eye in amusement)

Ro: but i'm not a bard, i just sing for fun and do little tricks with music. I don't do great stuff.' Ro mutters

Lady Tyree: The fact that you can do those little tricks with music means you're a bard. Not everyone can do that, only bards can.

Lady Tyree: You're untrained, so you won't do great stuff. We all started out that way, except for the extremely gifted.

Lady Tyree: There's been a few bards in history, none are alive now, that could do great things before they were taught by another bard how.

Ro: 'oh...' Ro says forgetting all manners and staring at Tyree

Ro: 'when did you find out you were a bard?" Ro asks

Ro: 'And.... eerrr... i am green like an orc, but you look like a human with hair. Are you a'halfbreed' too?' Ro asks shyly

Lady Tyree: Hmm...I was pretty young when my parents sent me to Qeynos for training.

Lady Tyree: I was doing little tricks through song and they knew. I grew up someplace called the Kerra Isles, which is between here and a land called Odus.

Ro looks lost and puzzled

Lady Tyree: And I'm sure that somewhere along the way someone or something mated with a cat to make my race.

Lady Tyree shrugs her shoulders

Lady Tyree: I've never really thought about how we were created.

Ro: I am half-orc' Ro says depressed,' Toryn says he is my brother but he is not green'

Ro beams a smile at Tyree,'so its hard to believe we are brother and sister'

Lady Tyree: Does it really matter? You have a brother that obviously loves you for who you are.

Ro starts to laugh,' he loves me for the child i never was' Ro says while she stops laughing

Ro: they all tell me what to do all the time,' Ro pulls the sword out from behind her belt,' this is the only thing they keep forgetting that they didn't tell me what to do with'

Lady Tyree laughs

Lady Tyree: I think the problem is that you're in the company of men. They forget sometimes that women can be independant too.

Lady Tyree: Trust me, it's not a specific problem to you. It's bred into their souls, to protect the female.

Ro: 'atleast they don't see me as a woman,' Ro snorts,' they don't want to breed, and just push and hit me like if i was male'

Ro: you saw how they wanted to knock my head in for making a joke

Ro: 'but well... if Ayonae Ro gave me another chance, she must have some use for me. So she won't let them do that i guess. We'll see when i meet them again.' Ro shrugs

Lady Tyree: Well, we'll just have to make sure that they realize you're a woman and not a little girl or "one of the guys."

Ro: he will kill me if he gets the change, you know? ' ro calmly says,' but i'll show him what a woman can do.' she goes on showing an evil grin

Lady Tyree: One of the oaths we bards make when we join the League is if we find an unapprenticed bard, we are responsible for taking them on and teaching them the craft. It looks like you're my apprentice and I your Mistress. (smiles)

Ro closes her eyes and lowers her head

Ro: 'i don't want to be noones slaves' Ro mutters sadly

Lady Tyree gets off the window ledge and walks over to stand infront of Ro. Gently she puts her hands on Ro's shoulders.

Lady Tyree: Nobody is a slave. Master and Mistress is simply a title of honor given to full fledged masters of their craft.

Ro: 'you won't hit me will you?' Ro asks softly

Lady Tyree smiles

Lady Tyree: Any hitting will only be done in the sparring yard while you learn the craft of combat.

Lady Tyree goes and sits back on the ledge.

Ro looks at Tyree

Ro: 'i will be trained in the ways of a warrior?'

Lady Tyree: In our own right, bards are warriors. We aren't as skilled as a fully trained warrior, but we go dangerous places to explore, learn, gain knowledge, and spread news. We need to know how to defend ourselves and others if the need arises.

Ro laughs,'everyone always said i was a bard, but noone ever said what they do. thank you'

Lady Tyree: Well, you'll have plenty of time to learn. In the morning you'll have your first lesson.

Lady Tyree stretches and yawns.

Lady Tyree: We also will need to go to go see the royal tailor to get you outfitted for the Masque tomorrow night.

Ro: oh, i got a lot of golden cookies, Toryns trades them with other things. Can we go trade some too?

Lady Tyree laughs hard

Lady Tyree: Yes, yes...we can go trade them. I will teach you what to do with them. But tomorrow.

Lady Tyree: You may have the bed, since I rarely use it anyways.

Lady Tyree goes around the room and puts out the candles. Soon the room is bathed only in the soft glow of the fireplace.

Lady Tyree goes and curls up on a large cushion infront of the fire, much like a real cat.

Kenny (Ro): crap lol was just typing Ro would go lie down in font of the fire lol

Evil GM: haha

Ro goes lying down on top of the bed and pulls her cloak over herself as blanket

Evil GM: Night passes without mishap and when the sunlight flows into the room, Ro wakes and finds Tyree gone.

Ro softly calls for Tyree and looks under the bed if she is there

Shortly after Ro wakes, Tyree enters the room carrying a covered tray. She sets it on the bed.

Ro yawns with a hand in front of her mouth

Lady Tyree uncovers the tray revealing meats, fruits, fish, and a pitcher of juice.

Lady Tyree: Eat up, we have a lot to do today and little time.

Ro looks at Tyree, with a question in her eyes,' you don't eat?'

Ro doesn't wait for an answer but starts eating as she didn't eat last night

Lady Tyree: I ate hours ago down in the kitchens. This is for you.

Ro: while eating Ro gets up and looks out the window (if there is one)

Ro goes back to the bed and puts the rest of the food down on the tray and says with a shining smile to Tyree,'done!'

Lady Tyree: Good! First stop will be down the hall to the tailor's rooms to get a dress and mask fitted for you.

Ro: 'I got a dress' ro says as she looks around for her backpack

Ro: oh, i didn't bring my bag with me' she claps her hands on her tighs in frustration

Ro: 'i got a dress in my bag, really, but i must have left my bag at the inn' Ro tries to defned herself

Lady Tyree: Not to worry, this dress will be much different than what you've ever worn before.

Lady Tyree opens the door and walks down the hall.

Ro follows watching carefully to stay behind Tyree on her left side looking down at the ground

Lady Tyree looks over and stops.

Lady Tyree: Ok. I think it's time for the first lesson.

Lady Tyree puts her hand under Ro's chin and lifts her head.

Ro looks away

Lady Tyree in a stern voice, "Look at me."

Ro looks at Tyree for a second before putting her eyes to the floor again

Lady Tyree: Ro...

Lady Tyree: Look at me. Now.

Ro sighs and looks at Tyree, visually scared of getting beaten

Lady Tyree: Good girl.

Lady Tyree: First lesson...you are not a slave. You don't have to look at the floor all the time. Nobody will lay a hand on you.

Ro nods

Lady Tyree: Once we go to the guild house and get you outfitted in gear fit for ones of our standing, nobody will dare touch you.

Lady Tyree: Until then, nobody will touch you for fear of having to go through me.

Ro: 'I can defend myself', Ro mutters,' i bet i can fight Aikira when he tries to kill me'

Lady Tyree chuckles

Lady Tyree: I don't doubt that. However, for those that have grown up in civilization, they know there's an ancient decree that bards are not to be touched. To do so is very, very, very bad luck for them and theirs.

Lady Tyree points at a door at the end of the hall.

Lady Tyree: Now, you're going to walk infront of me..like you own this place and go through that door.

Ro walks up in front of Tyreebut constantly looks over her shoulder nervously

Lady Tyree gives Ro a gentle push forward.

Ro swallows hard and walks to the doorand stops in front if it and looks at Tyree

Lady Tyree: Good...now go through it.

Ro softly pushes open the door and peaks in

Ro: "hello?' Ro asks

Ro knocks on the door

Lady Tyree: Just go through it...more than likely Master Duncon is so involved in a creation he wouldn't hear a legion of soldiers knocking down his door.

Ro looks at Tyree and walks in after a few seconds

Inside the room, standing on a stool and bent over a table is a tiny man working on something.

Lady Tyree clears her throat.

When it becomes obvious that the man is clueless, Tyree winks at Ro and mouths "see". She pulls out a horn from a bag and blows it, causing the little man to fall off the stool and onto the floor.

Ro giggles

Lady Tyree: Greetings Duncon, I have a favor I need done.

Duncon picks himself off the floor and straightens his glasses, glaring at Tyree.

Duncon: What can I do for you?

Lady Tyree: I need a dress and mask made for this young lady.

Ro bites her lip nervously scared about a comment she is green

Duncon: Hmm... (appraises Ro)...do you have anything in mind?

Kenny (Ro): he asks me?

Petra (Lady Tyree): yes

Ro (bites): her lip harder and shakes her head unknowingly

Lady Tyree: I think we can leave it to your master genious.

Duncon: Mmm..yes, yes. I think I might be able to come up with something suitable. Come back in a few hours for a fitting.

Lady Tyree nods and takes Ro by the hand.

Lady Tyree: And now, the guild house.

Ro follow Lady tyree like a puppy

Once they get outside of the palace walls, Tyree tells Ro to hold on again.

Ro holds on to Tyree's hand tightly

Singing, she takes off running as she did the night before. In minutes Tyree slows down to stand infront of a blue, two story building that has music playing inside.

Lady Tyree: This is the Qeynos guild house. We pretty much have one in all the big cities through Antonica..as well as other places.

Lady Tyree: Bards and apprentices are always welcome within their walls no matter where or who you are.

Lady Tyree opens the door and gestures for Ro to step inside.

Ro: 'nice music' Ro says to say anything

Ro steps in

Lady Tyree closes the door behind them.

Inside the main room, there are a bunch of kids ranging all ages and all sorts of different races.

Infront of the room is an older man who pauses in his playing to look at the newcomers.

Ro 's head drops again and she tries to look around the room from beneath her eyelashes

Lady Tyree taps Ro on the shoulder to remind her about her head as she addresses the room at the same time.

Ro looks up and turns red

Kenny (Ro): hahaha tuff customer :P

Lady Tyree: I'd like to introduce the newest apprentice to the ranks of the League. This is Ro.

Petra (Lady Tyree): heh

Ro: very softly so noone can hear her Ro says ,'hello'

All of the kids politely intone togeather, "Hello" back and stare at Ro curiously. One little boy raises a hand.

Lady Tyree nods to the boy

"Where's Ro from?" he asks.

Lady Tyree looks at Ro and whispers, "It's ok..they're kids. They won't bite."

Ro whispers back to Tyree,' what does he mean? i don't know where i am from!'

Lady Tyree chuckles.

Lady Tyree: Well, she's not exactly sure.

Lady Tyree: Another kid asks, "Why's your skin green?"

Petra (Lady Tyree): whoops

Another kid asks, "Why's your skin green?"

Ro turns deep red in her face and mumbles something ,' waff ofc' before she turns even more reddish

Lady Tyree: One of her parents was an orc. But just think, if she's in a jungle, she'll be able to hide really well!

The kids giggle and start talking among themselves.

Ro looks at Tyree thankfully

Lady Tyree (whispers): Kids are easily satisfied...nothing to be scared about

Lady Tyree: Alright, go back to your class. I'm sure Ro will be around later if you have more questions.

Lady Tyree heads to a set of stairs and gestures for Ro to follow.

Ro follows Tyree looking at the kids with a smile

They all smile back at Ro and wave goodbye.

Ro waves back

At the top of the stairs Tyree enters a large room with weapons, insturments, and other knicknacks.

Ro: WOW,'Ro exclaims enthousiasticly

Lady Tyree: Now for the second lesson of the day, and I think this will be one you will like, bards always want to look their best.

Ro grins wickedly

Lady Tyree: When we are out travelling, adventuring, or questing...almost always we can get ourselves invited into the most noble of houses simply by looking like a bard.

Lady Tyree: You remember Rook?

Ro: yes, he wanted to give me cookies to stay with him'

Lady Tyree: Remember how he dressed?

Ro: not really, i am sorry

Lady Tyree: No matter...he likes dressing well. Lots of colors and flowing shirts.

Lady Tyree: I simply wear armor with the bardic symbol on it. By this time in my life, that's all I need.

Lady Tyree: Now, we need to find something for you.

Ro looks around longingly (women you know...)

Lady Tyree: Hmm...lets see.

Lady Tyree looks around.

Lady Tyree: What tickles your fancy?

Kenny (Ro): what is there? :P

Evil GM: Pretty much anything you can think of for a bard. Tunics, boots, leggings, armor, weapons, jewlery.

Kenny (Ro): green armor like my skin? :P

Evil GM: no...but I'm sure if Ro says something, it can be found or created

Kenny (Ro): red armor ? :P

Evil GM: that there is

Ro walks over to the red armor

Ro looks at Tyree and asks,' can i touch it?'

Lady Tyree: Sure

Ro lets her finger run over the armor and looks at it from all angles

Lady Tyree: The red armor is a full breastplate with a harp etched into it.

Kenny (Ro): its only bp? trying to imagine it lol not for gear, just for looks

Evil GM: yup, only the breastplate

Lady Tyree: Hmm...lets see...

Lady Tyree opens a trunk an rumages through, pulling out several pairs of breeches and tunics.

Ro goes to peak over Tyree's shoulder

Lady Tyree tosses Ro a pair of green breeches and a darker green tunic.

Lady Tyree: Try those on to start with.

Ro pulls off her leather outfit in a flash and takes the tunic from Tyree

Lady Tyree looks Ro over.

Lady Tyree: Hmm...

Lady Tyree takes a small dagger out of her belt.

Lady Tyree: Hold still, I don't want to cut you.

Lady Tyree cuts the arms off of the tunic, leaving it sleeveless. Then cuts the front of the tunic to reveal a little cleavage.

Lady Tyree winks at Ro

Lady Tyree: So people don't forget that you're female.

Ro grins

Lady Tyree: Hmm...that is a good look on you.

Lady Tyree starts rummaging around another trunk

Ro keeps turning looking at herself

Petra (Lady Tyree): brb

Kenny (Ro): kk need to go take a quick shower too lol school in 1 hour brb in 10 sorry

Lady Tyree: np

Kenny (Ro): baclk

Lady Tyree: ok, found some "looks" for Ro to choose from

Evil GM: Ignore the ugly girls

Kenny (Ro): the one with the wings i NOT ugly lol

Evil GM: lol

Evil GM: Which does Ro like?

Kenny (Ro): the belly dancer outfit is nice :P

Evil GM: Absolutely

Kenny (Ro): the leather thing too lol

Evil GM: She can have a few looks ;-)

Evil GM: Leather one for adventuring, belly dancing one for in town?

Kenny (Ro): heck ya :D

Evil GM: K ;-)

Evil GM: And of course for the bell dancing outfit, Tyree gives Ro a whole bunch of costume jewlery to go along with it.

Lady Tyree: I know a girl that can even teach you how to dance. (smiling)

Ro looks at the jewerly from all sides, wondering what they are

Lady Tyree explains what each piece is and shows Ro how to put them on

Ro tries to put em on with her tongue sticking out

Lady Tyree: Now...we need to come up with armor.

Lady Tyree: Do you have your golden cookies with you?

Ro gets out the bag and nods

Ro: they are really hard to bite though, i wouldn't try them if i was you' Ro explains very seriously to Tyree

Lady Tyree: These actually aren't food....they're called coins.

Ro: oh...' Ro raises her eyebrows

Lady Tyree: People will give you things in trade for the coins

Lady Tyree: Food, clothes, weapons, armor, spells, songs...

Ro: 'would have been nice if they were to eat also though' Ro sighs

Lady Tyree laughs

Lady Tyree: Most items here are free to members of the League, but there's some things that you have to trade your coins for...such as magical items.

Ro i got a lot of these cointhings

Lady Tyree: Now, what would you prefer? Leather armor or metal armor? (points to the two types hanging on the wall)

Ro points at the leather

Lady Tyree starts going through a pile of leather armor, reading tags attached to each piece.

Lady Tyree: Hmmm...doesn't look like we have anything useful right now. Maybe there's other magical things you'd like.
