Last week the group entered Blackburrow and found a magical door that happened to open only for Toryn. Going in revealed several cells with a bed that has holy symbols Toryn reconized. One cell had a skeleton with a tome that in a quick read, Rand was able to find that he'd been trapped there by gnolls and died.

Shortly after this discovery, a wave of gnolls filtered in from farther down in the cavern which you were able to hold at bay and eventually slaughter.

The current situation is there is an almost burnt out web, lots of gnoll bodies piled up in the general area infront of the hall you're in, and you hear more on the way.

-> ro: you've managed to sneak into the area where the battle is without being seen as well as up to the door. When you look inside there is Toryn standing just behind the entry way slaughtering a last gnoll

Aikira: what are my hp at, and am I holding my katana or my spear?

Ro: i sigh at the sight and stay in the shadows

-> aikira: if I remember right, it's near full

Sunfall: "Everyone still in one piece?"

Rand looks worried

-> aikira: the druid actually healed you

Rand: "Can we still get out to the exit or are we trapped in this area" Rand says

Aikira: can I act tough or are there just to many gnolls for even aikira to act with some sense?

Aikira pauzes for a moment, breathing heavy

Rand nods at Sunfall and starts his meditation, clearly disappointed that they are locked in

-> ro: doesn't matter "too" much, there's torches. Mostly it's everyone else has their attention on the gnolls in battle

Rand: "There is no guarentee we can open it from the inside though. And if we get locked in we are screwed" Rand says

Everyone but Sunfall and Toryn hears what sounds like a horn blow a few notes...the barking of the oncoming wave of Gnolls seems to cease

Sunfall: I'm not sure it will close for just anyone

Rand: "What was that" Rand says, listening more intently

Rand: "What?" Toryn asks

Sunfall: Here they come... we better decide soon... What do you think, elf friend?

Rand: "That horn blowing followed by less barking from outside" Rand continues

Evil GM: [1d20 = 10]

Rand: "Toryn, can you look around the corner to see what is going on there" Rand asks

Ro: standing where i am do i see anything deeper in the tunnel?

Aikira: you can try to find us a way out, I'll stay behind and hold them off brother

Rand: "I won't leave you all here, but i think Rand is right and i should look what is happening outside our tunnel" Toryn states

Aikira gets himself ready to help toryn if he should be attaced

-> ro: except the slaughtered ones dying on the ground

Rand: "There are no gnolls outside anymore" Toryn says confused when he returns

Rand: "I saw the back of a few retreating gnolls, but that is it" Toryn finishes

Aikira looks puzzeld and steps outside also

Aikira sheathens his katana and picks up his spear

Sunfall: "They must be regrouping. I do not feel comfortable pursuing them in our current state, without resting for a time."

Rand: "I agree" Rand says

Aikira: then rest, you all may, I'll stay here and keep the watch

Aikira: does anyone know where ro is?

Sunfall nods and finds a place to sit crosslegged

Rand: "I agree as well" Toryn says, "We may want to move out while we can and recover, once we are ready we can go back in"

Aikira steps out into the hall and stands guard

Rand: "Ro left in a huff after we killed 2 remaining gnolls outside. I agree it's no fun killing defenseless gnolls, but they would be too dangerous to let them live" Rand explains

Rand and Toryn move out as well and join Aikira

Caelianna peer out the door and looks up the cavern

Rand: "I was actually thinking about going into the other tunnel accross from where we just were. Running headlong into the mass of gnolls doesn't sound smart

Rand motions the rest to follow and see what is behind door number 2

Rand: "Let me open the door" Toryn says, moving to the symbol

Rand: Toryn opens the door

The door opens to reveal an identical hallway to the one on the other side

Rand: Toryn carefully moves on into teh just opened tunel

Rand: Toryn stops at the first doors and opens the one to his right side, sword at the ready

Aikira follows just behind toryn

The open door reveals some barrels inside the room

Rand: "Some barrels in this room, looks like we found a storage area" Toryn says to the rest

Rand: "Shall i open them up, or do we move on" Toryn says

Sunfall: might as well see if there's anything of value

Aikira: best open them

erus (Aikira): do we see anything unusual in the room?

Rand: Toryns nods and uses his sword to pry the first barrel open

Evil GM: nope

The top of the barrel comes off easily as the nails have rusted over time. A puff of white goes up and when it settles reveals flour full of weavels

Rand: "Ugh, flour filled with weavels" Toryn says

Evil GM: Rand and Sunfall give me spot rolls

Rand: "Shall i open the other barrels too?" Toryn asks

Rand: "I think you should, who knows what is in the other barrels, worst that happens is we get dusty" Rand says

Rand: Toryn opens the second barrel

A horrible smell of something long rotted reaches Toryn's nose.

Rand: "Ewww, i don't know what this was, but it has been rotting for quite some time" Toryn says as he quickly closes the barrel again

-> ro: are you going to do anything else except hide in the shadows?

Rand: Toryn then opens the last barrel

Ro: not yet :P my chance might come lol

It falls apart into pieces as Toryn attempts to pry it open. Whatever was inside long ago evaperated.

Aikira: at least we've tried

Aikira: what do you say rand are you ready to go deeper into the cave now?

Rand: Toryn moves out of the room to the door across the tnnel

Ro: give me one second alone with Caelinna and i kidnapp her :P

Rand: "I still say we quickly check the other rooms, you grab some too Aikira" Rand says

As Toryn and Aikira search the other rooms there are remains of crates, barrels, and burlap bags. Some are full with rotting food, others are full of vermin and bugs. Nothing of extreme use is to be found.

Rand: "Oh well, we tried" Rand says, disappointed that nothing usefull was in that tunnel. "Let's move deeper in, but let's make sure we have a way out in case we get charged by too many"

Aikira: indeed, I'll take the lead.

Aikira walks ahead and in the passing he nods at sunfall

Rand: "I'll take the back Toryn says

Evil GM: Put your marching order on the board

Evil GM: I'm not asking you to do anything, it's what you decide to do. Aynae Ro, who basically gives bards their bardic powers, has deemed it necessary to interfere in this situation. It's up to Ro to do what she asks or continue to do what she pleases.

Kenny (Ro): its not what pleases her, but what she thinks is the right thing to do out of her moral point of view :)

Evil GM: Now, if Ro says a quick "I'm sorry" under her breath and not really mean it...that might be enough to satisfy the goddess.
