Evil GM: Ok...this is what you saw and fought at the end of the last game...

This large chamber stretches nearly 35 feet (10.6 meters) long and 25 feet (7.6 meters) wide. Sand covers the floor. A stone dais rises from the sand against the northern wall. A squat figurine of a bestial deity and two chests filled with gold sit upon the dais. Two brass braziers hang from the ceiling and bathe the room in a hellish red glow. Standing in the center of the room is a large man in heavy armor. He hefts a large, evil looking axe and presses it to his lips like a lover. A feral grin spreads across his features as he turns to face you.

Evil GM: At the end of last session, Tala made the blow that knocked Abraxes unconcious

Toryn: " Tie this scum up ! " snarls Toryn ... " Does anyone have any rope left? "

Toothpick: I do...I will

Toothpick proceeds to tie Abraxes up

Ro puts a hand on Toryn's arm and nods no in understanding what he said

Toryn: Toryn makes a gesture of tying someone up with a rope, acting it out with his hands, and points to Toothpick tying Abraxes up

Rand kneels down in prayer to thank Druzzil for his new abilities

Tala helps Toothpick with the rope

Toryn: " We should explore this place " says Toryn " See if there are any traps or any clues lying about around here "

Ro stubles with the words as she says,'me oonderstaand'

Toryn: Toryn puts his hands to his eyes and intently peers around, then smiles and pats Ro on the shoulder

Tala looks around the room

Toryn: Then Toryn searches the entire area

Rand gets up from his prayer and starts helping Toryn in his search

Toryn (Toryn): is that Search or Spot Evil GM ? As far as the Skill check?

Evil GM: Give me search rolls

Evil GM: Ok, as you search the room you don't find any traps or anything interesting...except two chests up on the dias

Rand walks up to the chest on the left

Toryn: " Toothpick - any chance you could investigate these chests for traps? "

Ro picks up Abra's axe, wipes it off and swings around with it

Rand tries the lock on the chest to see if it is open

The chest Rand tries opens

Rand jumps back, not intending to open the chest without a look from toothpick... then he realises nothing happened and he walks back up to see what is inside

-> rand: a bunch of pp pieces, two gems, a gold locket, and a shiny silver looking dagger

Toryn: " Toothpick " announces Toryn " Looks like we got lucky with the first chest - could you check the second one for us - traps? "

-> ro: this axe feels REALLY good in your hands

Rand: Oooh... shinies as Orcs would say... i got some platinum pieces, 2 gems a gold locket and a silver dagger here... i'll check them for magical abilities and hold on to them for later sharing

Ro: sweeeeeeeeeet

Toothpick walks over to the second chest and examines it

Toothpick: Nope, this one isn't trapped either

Toothpick opens the chest and moves aside

Toryn: Toryn examines the contenst of the second chest

-> toryn: lots of gold pieces, a pair of pants, and a pair of boots

Toryn: Toryn frowns and stares at the contents of both chests

Toryn (Toryn): Detect Evil , evil GM

Ro puts down her old axe and ties Abra's axe to her back

Rand walks up to the second chest and looks inside as well

As Ro ties the axe to her back, it crackles with red sparks

Ro: it burns me?

-> ro: no

Rand hears the crackle and walks to Ro...

Rand: May i examin the axe before you put it on your back please?

Ro tries to turn around so she can see the axe bound on her back

Rand checks the axe for magical abilities

Ro turns to the otherside since the axe wasn't visible when she turned to that side

The axe crackles and sparks red as Rand touches it

Rand: okay, doesn't appear to be magical... must be something evil then... Toryn, can you check?

Toryn (Toryn): evil GM anything evil in the two chests?

Petra (Toothpick): No

Toryn: Toryn comes out of his trance and looks at Rand - " Pardon? "

Ro shrugs as she can't see the axe turning to this side either... and says to Rand,'goon'

Rand: Could you check the axe for evil... it crackles as i touch it, but doesn't appear to be magical

Toryn: Toryn's frown deepens as he uses " The Sight" on the axe

Petra (Toothpick): not evil

Toryn: Toryn smiles " How ironic - we've defeated the leader of this bastion of evil and yet none of his possessions reek of evil - how strange ... that includes the axe..."

Ro remembers she tied the axe up, unties it and starts swinging her new toy again

Toryn: " I suppose we'll see what it does next time she uses it in battle "

Toryn (Toryn): evil GM Toryn checks all the stuff for any religious symbols

Rand: I have a feeling we are missing something... it's not magical or evil and it crackles when i touch it.... i will need to meditate on that

Rand: What was in the second chest by the way?

Rand: anything usefull?

Rand: Like books or information about this place?

Toryn: " Gold, a pair of pants, a pair of boots "

Petra (Toothpick): nothing that has any religious symbols in the chests...but there's the figure that also sits on the dias of a squat looking figure that you have no clue who it is

Ro: can i summon a flute?

-> ro: sure, you have summon insturment?

Ro: yup :)

Ro ties the axe back on her back

Ro: i need to make a check?

Toryn: " Rand you probably know more about this than a humble paladin - could you examine that statue - and all the items we've discovered here - see if any of them have any religious significance? "

Rand: Shall i check the items for magical abilities?

The axe crackles and sparks red

Rand walks up to toryn to examin the statue

Ro: i need to make a check to summon the flute?

-> ro: don't think so

-> ro: no, but it only lasts 3 minutes

Ro: oh

Ro grabs a flute out of the air and starts playing some tunes

Rand: The statue seems to be of a deity that was not originally from this world, i can't put a name to it though

Rand: It doesn't seem to be magical though

Abraxes starts groaning and twitching slightly

Toryn: Toryn looks around helplessly " I don't suppose anyone has anything to draw with ? Idenitifying this thing could give us a vital clue as far as who's the force behind these vile wretches, if our captive proves to be uncooperative during his interrogation"

Ro: can i sing a depressing song to Abra? Kelin's lugubrious lame...?

Rand: Not me, sorry...

-> ro: yes

-> ro: what's the DC for the save now??

Toryn: " Very well then - let's see what we can find out from this scum here ?

Tala pulls out some parchment, quill, and ink and hands it to Toryn

Toryn: Toryn walks over to Abraxes and roughly turns him over so he's lying on his back

Toryn: Toryn then walks over to Aikira and motions Aikira to one side, out of Abraxes hearing

Ro: its a will save but no idea on the DC

Toryn (Toryn): Evil GM, does Aikira walk with me?

-> ro: 10+cha mod+spell level = 15 for you

-> ro: when you sing, the spell seems to have no effect

Petra (Tala): yes

Toryn: Toryn whispers into Aikira's ear " We have an interrogation techique the paladins of Mithaniel Marr like to use - we call it " Good knight, bad knight "

Toryn: " I'd like you to do your best to terrify our prisoner, without actually killing him - threaten to cut off body parts and so forth"

Aikira looks doubtfully at Toryn about the "bad" knight thing

Toryn: " I will play the role of someone more sympathetic to him who is trying to get him to cooperate for his own good"

Toryn: " give it a try, we have nothing to lose after all... and the previous captives have been less than cooperative "

Aikira kicks Abraxes hard in his ribs

Aikira: Tell us what you know or the knight here is going to let me practice my torture skills today

Abraxes starts chuckling, deep down in his chest

Abraxes: Abraxes not scared of a puny black elf

Ro touches Aikira's arm as he's talking

Toryn: Toryn looks worried... " I don't think you fully grasp the reputation dark elves have - they are raised to worship the Prince of Hate - they hate everything ! He'd have no problem maiming or killing you"

Rand mumbles without talking to anyone specific... "I wonder if he is allergic to silver"

Toryn: " I would listen to him if I were you "

Rand walks up to aikira giving him the silver dagger.... please try it on him, something wispers to me that he may not like it

Abraxes eyes gain a glint of slight insanity

Abraxes: Innoruuk is nobody compared to Moltor

Ro constantly put a hand on the talking persons arm

Aikira takes the silver dagger and starts slowly dragging it along Abraxe's neck, just enough to cause pain without serious injury

Rand pays close attention to the wound caused by the dagger, he is waiting for something special, but he's not sure what

Abraxes (chuckling): Silver does no good against Abraxes. Abraxes human, not shape changer! Stupid humans.

Rand asks the dagger back... might be usefull later

Aikira straightens and hands the dagger back

Tala kneels behind Abraxes's head, dagger out and puts the dagger just behind his ear as she leans down and whispers something in his ear

Abraxes starts turning slightly pale

Rand looks somewhat puzzled at Tala

Ro grabs the axe from her back again as the flute disolved into thin air and shows it to Abraxes with a big grin

Tala smiles evilly, and continues to whisper into Abraxes's ear

Toryn: Toryn walks up to Abraxes " I am serious - my friends will kill you without a moment's hesitation !"

Toryn: " I urge you to cooperate with us - while pain may give you pleasure, if you're dead you can't feel anyting at all!"

Abraxes blurts out, "Abraxes doesn't care if the black elf likes men! Abraxes cooperates with nobody except MOLTOR!"

Rand looks at Aikira somewhat puzzled... you like men?!?

Aikira growls at Tala and his hand starts for the hilt of his sword

Abraxes stares up at Toryn

Abraxes: I tell nobody anything, kill Abraxes so Abraxes can serve Moltor better!

Toryn: " How in the name of the Lightbringer can you serve Moltor if you're dead ??? Perhaps he has more work for you to do here in this world "

Abraxes smiles wickidly at Toryn

Abraxes: Kill Abraxes and find out how Abraxes will serve Moltor

Ro sits down next to Abraxes and bites him hard in the ear while explaining to him he's good food

Toryn (Toryn): Ro should probably make an Intimidate roll

Toryn (Toryn): Aikira too

Aikira walks down to Abraxes's feet and starts pulling his boots off

Kenny (Ro): was just planning to eat him hehe not to intimidate :P



Abraxes starts to cow in his bonds and struggle with the rope

Ro: can i say that i bite off his ear?

-> ro: yes

Ro bites of Abraxes ear and starts chewing on it

Toryn: " Let me help you Abraxes - for all we know Moltor may not let you into the afterlife if your death is such an insult to him - imagine being eaten by a little girl of an orc ! "

Abraxes screams

Abraxes screams and struggles as Ro chews on his ear

Abraxes: Please! Please! Anything but this!

Toryn: Toryn motions to Ro to stop, gently pulling her aside

Ro grins at Abraxes showing him her incisors

Toryn: " Then tell us what we need to know" says Toryn, patching up Abraxes' ear wound

Abraxes (grudgingly): What you want to know from Abraxes?

Toryn: " Who gives you your orders Abraxes? "

Ro crawls upto the otherside of Abraxes and puts her teeth on his other ear not biting trough

Abraxes: Moltor

Rand: Who is Moltor

Toryn: " Yes I know but there must be someone you answer to who also serves Moltor - someone who tells you what to do "

Abraxes: Moltor sends a message once a fornight to Abraxes

Ro: touching Abraxes on his ear Ro understand everything beeing said by Abraxes

Toryn: " How do you receive this message ? Does it come on a piece of paper?"

Abraxes: Moltor sends Abraxes messages by messenger and scroll. Abraxes burns message after reading message.

Toryn: " Where does the messenger come from ? "

Abraxes: Moltor..

Toryn: " What does the messenger look like?"

Abraxes: Man with mask.

Tala: Obviously they're not all that stupid...

Toryn: " Do you know when the next messenger is going to come ? "

Abraxes: Three turns of the day

Toryn: Toryn looks at everyone else... " What do you all think about waiting for this messenger and having a little chat with him ? "

Ro releases Abraxes ear from between her teeth, spits out the other ear but puts a hand on Abraxes shoulder to not lose contact

Tala shrugs and starts searching Abraxes's body

Ro wipes of her mouth with a disgusted look on her face

Toryn: " Rand ? What do you think ? "

Tala pulls a rolled up piece of parchment from under Abraxes's tunic

Rand: I don't know... aside from staying in here for another 3 days, i doubt it will help us much. Personally i think we should get out and collapse the cave

Tala holds the parchment up

Toryn: " I'm thinking the messenger might be able to lead us to whomever's behind this whole thing - or at least bring us one more step up the ladder "

Ro walks up to Tala and turns the parchment to look at it.

Ro jumps back in amazement noticing she can read it.

Toryn: " Ro has proven most persuasive at convincing prisoners to talk to us "

Toryn: Toryn looks at Ro and puts his hand on her shoulder in concern " Are you all right ? "

Ro: losing touch of the parchment makes the note go all blurry again in Ro's eyes.

Ro walks up again and hold touches the parchment again

Toryn (Toryn): I think Ro is the only one who can read it :P

Kenny (Ro): :P

Tala starts reading the parchment

Tala: Interesting..

Rand walks up to Tala as well and looks at the paper

Toryn: Toryn looks at it as well

Rand: Ah, this man is pretending to be the barrow king, which solves our quest....

Abraxes starts growling, low in his throat like a trapped animal

Ro 's face gets a serious look as she starts to think how to express what she did read

Rand: I think we should check out this Befallen

Tala: hah, I told those idiots in town there was no real Barrow King...supersticious..

Toryn: " Damn ! We need to save the mayor's wife - we won't be able to wait for the messenger after all "

Toryn: " I'm assuming they mean the wife of the mayor of Brighthaven "

Toryn (Toryn): evil GM can you include that note in our chat log for this week?

Sir, here is a small report. We are successfully raiding Brighthaven, they think that I am the fabled Barrow King. This superstition is working for my men and I, for our spiritual leader is getting closer to the secret of undeath and slowly we are unravelling the secrets of Befallen. Our next target will be the mayor's wife, the strong willed bitch. Will report again on the next raid.

Toothpick: We have their leader and killed the cultists we've come across..

Ro: wy? abraxsss radin no mow noow

Petra (Toothpick): yea

Toryn: " I say we return to Brighthaven and warn them of the danger - who's with me ? "

Tala: What are we going to do with him?

Ro jumps up and goes stand next to Toryn

Rand: Take him with us so the townspeople can see him and put him on trial?

Toryn: " Bring him with " says Toryn with a look of disgust at Abraxes " We promised not to kill him - we can let the Brighthaven elders decide what to do with him"

Toryn: " And we can interrogate him on the way in case he has any more useful information"

Aikira looks disappointed

Toryn: " Worst case scenario he'll make a good meal for Ro " says Toryn with a broad wink at Ro

Ro looks disgusted at Toryn

Toryn: " We'll have plenty of enemies to kill in combat my friend " says Toryn clapping Aikira on the back " Surely a fierce warrior like you would find no sport in killing a defenseless unarmed captive"

Toryn: Toryn sobers up " I was joking Ro ! "

Aikira raises an eyebrow at Toryn

Aikira: defenseless just means an easier kill

Rand: but an honorless one too, you should know that

Toryn: " Such a joker " chuckles Toryn clapping Aikira on the back...

Ro grins

Rand: Lets start dragging this guy back to the entrance

Toryn: " Let's return to Brighthaven, we don't know when those cultists are going to strike "

Aikira grabs Abraxes by his bonds around his feet and starts dragging him, muttering to himself

Ro picks up Abraxes ear and gives it back to him with a sweet innocent girl smile

Toryn (Toryn): evil GM the only way out is back the same way we came in, right ?

Rand: Hmm, have we seen the entire cave? or shall we explore the last bit too?

Rand: a few rooms back we had another passage that we haven't checked yet

Evil GM: There's still a hallway you guys haven't been down in room 10...but there's no need to go look if you don't want to

Toryn: " Wait " announces Toryn, " There's one area we havent' explored yet - let's look through it quickly"

Rand: yeah, who knows there may be raiders there and we can kill them off before they strike

Rand looks startled at his own bloodlust

Toryn: On the way back Toryn eyes the two evil cultists.... " It might be easier for us to tie their hands and force them to walk in front of us "

Toryn: Toryn chuckles " This is a huge change from the man who fainted when I mentioned the possibility of mortal combat - well done my friend !" Toryn pats Rand on the shoulder " Your bravery improves by leaps and bounds !"

Toothpick pokes at the cultists

Rand: I am scaring myself though... what happened to me that i am suddenly so bloodthirsty

Ro: wabbit

Toothpick: Looks like they've passed on

Toryn: " combat will do that to you " says Toryn seriously to Rand, " It's either you or them - but think of how many innocent lives you're protecting - the villagers we saved, such as Bob - the other villagers these cultists would have gone after"

Toryn: " What do you mean Toothpick - the two other cultists we left behind aren't there anymore? "

Toothpick: Oh, they're here....but they're dead

Toryn: " What the ?!? " ... Toryn bends down to examine the bodies... " What happened here???"

Rand does a quick check to see why they died

Toothpick kneels down and touches something on their mouths and sniffs it

Rand: They may have been poisoned

Toryn: " By who ?!? " says Toryn in outrage looking around " They're vile and evil to be certain but killing someone in cold blood !... "

Rand: They may have had some sort of bitable capsule in their mouth, or a really small vile

Rand quickly casts Courage on all of the group

Tala shakes her head no, "looks like they all have short swords or clubs"

The clamoring comes closer with shouting

Ro puts the axe back on her back as she grabs a lute out of the air

Toryn: Toryn draws his longsword " good I prefer my fighting up close and personal "

Tala: The axe crackles and sparks red sparks

Vincent (Rand): EVERYONE add 1AC and 3HP to yourselfs

Toryn: " Aikira, as distasteful as you might find this you're the best warrior in this group - try to knock your own unconscious, you have the best chance of doing so without endangering yourself - I apologize for even asking"

Aikira sighs

Petra (Evil GM): Ok, Toryn is up first

Toryn: Toryn advances into the chamber shouting " Surrender in the name of Mithaniel Marr and we will let you live ! "

An Orc laughs at Toryn

Ro: they have a leader with them?

An Orc: sjklatght

-> ro: no, it appears to be a squad

Toryn (Toryn): and Toryn made a full move there since his movement rate is only 20 feet so he can't attack this round

An Orc: Go ahead and attack...I'm assuming that you guys were moving up as the orcs were filing into the room

Evil GM: fails

Toryn (Toryn): subdual attack for what it's worth (chuckles)

Tala shoots at an orc

Tala: An arrow punctures the orc's flesh (1pt of damage)

Toryn (Toryn): which orc? The one Toryn is fighting or a different one?

Ro tries to sing a very despressive song for the orc to the back

Ro: can u make a save for him?

An Orc: Drops his weapon, starting to look depressed

Ro starts to chuckle trying to keep the song going

Aikira drops Abraxes at the mouth to the tunnel and runs up on an orc, swinging the flat of his sword

Aikira hits the orc along side the head, knocking it out cold (4pts)

An Orc swings at Toryn with his short sword, screaming something in orcish

Toryn: " Told you you were our best warrior ! " Toryn shouts out to Aikira

An Orc misses Toryn

Ro: do i understand what the orc screamed?

Toryn (Toryn): evil GM should we take orc number 5 off the board since Aikira knocked it unconscious ?

An Orc another orc tries hitting Aikira and misses

An Orc tries to hit Aikira also, and misses

Toryn (Toryn): hate to say this evil GM but the two orcs on either side of Aikira probably get +2 flanking bonuses - poor Phil!

Petra (An Orc): they still miss with rolls of 2 and 3 ;-)

Rand charges in and attacks one of the orcs next to Toryn and swings his mace with all might he has

Toryn: " Told you you were getting braver ! " chuckles Toryn in Rand's direction

An Orc falls down, dead, with a bolt in his chest

Toothpick: Ha !



Toryn: " Surrender damn you ! Half your forces are already down " shouts Toryn swinging at orc number one

The orc that's depressed starts crying as he thinks about his mother

An Orc cows

An Orc: You hit, give me damage

Toryn (Toryn): subdual damage

An Orc falls unconcious

Tala fires at another orc (2)

Tala shoots, landing another arrow in the orc (1pt)

Ro slowly walks up to the depressed orc still singing the song

Evil GM: doing anything else other than moving?

Kenny (Ro): nope i can't stop singing :)

Aikira swings at the other orc

Petra (Aikira): and makes a crit

An Orc falls in a heap at Aikira's feet, dead

An Orc swings at Toryn

An Orc misses with his club (other orc is still crying)

Evil GM: don't forget the +2

Rand moves up to the last uncontrolled orc and swings at it at all might (again)

Rand cheers at his hit, taken aback by his own cheer he also abcks off a little bit

Toryn: " Well done priest ! " shouts Toryn

An Orc looks very hurt

An Orc: ooooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

Toothpick How many of the orcs are still standing ... 1 ?

Stuart (Toothpick): Oops ...OOC !

Petra (An Orc): one that's still fighting (#2) and the other is standing crying

Ro shouts in Orcish,'in Rallos Zek name surrender!'

Ro: they understand me?

Stuart (Toothpick): Move Action - 20 feet and fire at Orc 2

An Orc: You hit, give me damage

The orc that's crying, falls down, dead with a bolt in it's chest

Toryn (Toryn): actually I think he was aiming at orc number 2 evil GM

Kenny (Ro): he shot at the severly hurt orc :P

Evil GM: he still falls down dead

Stuart (Toothpick): Orc 2 indeed ... but I miss I think, forgot the -2 for firing into melee ...sorry.

Evil GM: You still hit

Kenny (Ro): did i intimidate the orcs btw?

Stuart (Toothpick): Yay ! Lets fight more !

Evil GM: He's too busy crying to notice

Toryn: " Tala would you mind, before they wake up ? I ask only because you're the quickest - and we'll let the Brighthaven elders decide what to do with them "

Rand: I have no idea... we only needed 1 prisoner...

Toothpick: Hmm ... a bit o' a problem indeed.

Toothpick fingers his hunting dirk.

Tala walks back to the dead cultists, muttering, to retrieve rope

Toryn: " One prisoner might not cooperate during the interrogation - despite Ro's methods" chuckles Toryn

Toryn: " And I really don't like the idea of killing prisoners in cold blood "

Ro: me tallk too orczz pleese

Tala comes back and starts tying everyone up

Toryn: " Yes yes " says Toryn

Rand grabs the silver dagger... I wonder if i can make it quick and painless

Toryn: Toryn pretends to sing, then points at Ro and smiles and says " Good, good ! "

Toothpick searches the bodies.

Tala: All trussed up like little hogs on the farm

Toryn: Toryn gives Rand a shocked look " Perhaps you've come a bit too far down the warrior's path my friend - murdering them in cold blood ? "

Rand: The town people will do the same and honestly, if i can give them a painless death instead i do them a good deed

Toryn: " Actually let's tie their hands and force them to walk in front of us, easier that way "

-> toothpick: what are you searching? or who should I say?

Ro: the orcs awake?

Rand: But i will follow your lead here... i am not a knight of truth :)

Toothpick: I think there are just orcs ? I'll search them methodically, tossinganything I find out onto the floor.

-> ro: the two unconcious aren't yet

Toryn: " Let's try to avoid playing judge, jury and executioner here - it's for a court of law to decide "

-> toothpick: a set of gaming dice, 30gp between all of them and that's about it

Ro tries to comfort the crybaby orc and asks in orcish what his name is

Toryn: Toryn proceeds to tie the orcish prisoners and the B fellow with the axe up in the manner Toryn just described

Toryn: Abraxes

-> ro: he's not listening...he's "depressed" for 3 hours

Ro hugs the crying orc tightly reassuring everything is alright in orcish

Toothpick: pockets the gaming dice and the 30 gp for now, will share later.

An Orc snivels and talks about his mom, in orcish

Toryn: " What a difference in interrogation techniques ! " chuckles Toryn looking at the scene " No ear biting - then again she does have him under her spell - literally "

Tala: Well, we better head back to brighthaven if you're hellbent on dragging all these critters back

Toothpick peers down the northern tunnel and readies his crossbow.

Toryn: " Toothpick, Rand, a word with you ?

Rand: Sure, what is it Toryn?

Toothpick: Yes lad ?

Ro: does he mention his name somewhere? lol

Toryn: Toryn produces some flasks and vials out of his backpack then looks at it in surprise " I could have sworn I had 10 of these vials of acid "

Toryn: " Anyways - I have 9 vials of acid, 3 smoke bombs"

Rand: Didn't you notice that Ro used one?

Toryn: Toryn chuckles " Missed it in the heat of combat - what a little wariror ! "

Toothpick: Aye, I did.

Rand: Whats up with the vials and bombs?

-> ro: no

Toryn: " Anyways I'd like to split these up between you two, myself and Aikira - Rand you refused these earlier on , have you changed your mind ?"

Toothpick nods.

Ro is softly talking to the orc about his mom trying to comfort him

Rand: No... my skill at throwing is bad, i may only hurt you guys

Toothpick: Very useful, thank you laddie.

Toryn: " All right then - so Toothpick, myself and Aikira should each take 3 vials of acid and a smokebomb? "

Toothpick takes a smokebomb and a vial of acid.

Toryn: Toryn hands him 2 more vials of acid

Toothpick and then takes two more vials, stashing them in his large backpack.

Toryn (Toryn): evil GM how much gold was in the chest in Abraxes's room ?

Evil GM: 2,000gp

Stuart (Toothpick): Are we dividing the money now ... from a game point of view I'd prefer this as it seems more "realistic" ?

Toryn (Toryn): I agree

Vincent (Rand): Toryn, did you take the stuff from the second chest? i assumed you did

Toryn (Toryn): yes

Vincent (Rand): i wouldn't divide it now... i would do that in the town while talking over our advenmture

Toryn: Toryn gives everyone, including Tala, 333 gold pieces except for Ro (since Ro tries to eat coins when she sees them)

Toryn: " Rand let's divide Ro's among us as we did with her other coinage - at least until she can speak Common well enough to tell us how to spend it for her "

Rand: Okay

Toryn (Toryn): evil GM sorry to ask you this but that's the only coinage we've found so far right? Everything else has been items of one sort or another ?

Vincent (Rand): well, according to her you had something from the orc camp where we met for the first time

Toryn (Toryn): yes we gave that all to Ro since it was the spoils of the orc tribe holding her captive so we assumed it all went to her ;)

Vincent (Rand): but as it was loads of coin, who kept that?

Toryn (Toryn): you and I divided that up among ourselves to hold for her since she tries to eat the coins Rand ;)

Kenny (Ro): u gave me one coin which i tried to bite and threw away after it wasn't edible

Toryn (Toryn): at least until we can teach her enough Common to explain what coins are :P

Evil GM: That was all the coinage that was found that was mentioned in the game

Toryn: Toryn stands up " Let's go to Brighthaven then, quickly - the mayor's wife is in danger ! "

Toryn: Toryn makes it a perfect cliche too, standing heroically, chin thrust out , gesturing with his finger towards Brighthaven

Ro grabs the orc by the hand and tries to pull him along smiling at him

Evil GM: Ok, unless you guys have anything else to do in the cave...I assume you go back the way you came?

Rand shakes his head at the cliche paladin, but starts pushing an orc in that direction anyways

Toryn: Toryn pulls all the prisoners to their feet except the charmed orc, leading them by the ropes tied around their hands in front of the others " Move along you ! "

An Orc follows Ro

Kenny (Ro): he's not charmed lol he's just depressed

Toryn (Toryn): yep unless anyone has any objections go out the same way we came in

Toryn (Toryn): is villager bob still with us ?

Aikira grabs Abraxes by the feet again and starts pulling him along

Vincent (Rand): he should be, think we lost his icon along the way though

Toryn (Toryn): unless he was poisoned too

Toryn (Toryn): evil GM, is villager bob still with us ?

Ro picks up the orcs sword on the way out and puts it behind her belt

Stuart (Toothpick): How many prisoners have we got ?

Petra (Aikira): yup, you have abraxes, three orcs, villager bob and a partrage in a pair tree

Toryn (Toryn): Oh ! A few more things - Toryn searches the bodies of the dead orcs and - are there torches around here ?

Stuart (Toothpick): The orcs have already been searched.

Evil GM: Periodically along the wall there's torches

Toothpick notices what Toryn is doing ...

Toothpick: Dinnae bother laddie ... they had ver little.

Toryn: " Everyone " announces Toryn , " Much as I hate to even mention this - there is a possibility those we killed here may come back as undead "

Toothpick hands out the money recovered from the orcs.

Toryn: " I would suggest we burn the bodies of all those we have slain in here "

Rand: Let's just collapse the cave when we exit... or did you want to come back

Ro: orc still as depressed?

Stuart (Toothpick): 5 gp each. Don't spend it all at once.

Toryn: " That might be worthwhile, see if we can capture that messenger when he comes back "

-> ro: yup, for another 2 hours

Toryn: " But the messenger will get suspicious if he sees bodies "

Toryn: " And trust me as a paladin of the light I can assure you it's entirely possible our foes will come back as undead - burning them is best "

Tala coughs

Toryn: " We have tales of these things that we study during our schooling as paladins "

Rand sighs

Toryn: Toryn takes up a torch " This will go faster if the rest of you help me "

Toryn: " I know I know " says Toryn looking at Rand " The stench of burning flesh is not pleasant"

Rand: I am not really interested in walking back all the way again to start burning corpses...

Toryn: " But remember the ghoul who rendered Aikira motionless with but a touch ? "

Rand: Still, collapse the cave and they can't get out

Tala: I vote for collapsing the place as we exit

Toryn: " Imagine ghouls coming after you in particular in the middle of the night - reanimated cultists - bent on adding you to their number "

Ro so to occupied comforting the orc to bother

Toryn: " All right " says Toryn reluctantly " Perhaps we can come back and wait outside the cave 3 days from now, see if the messenger shows up "

Rand: Sounds like a plan... besides i wouldn't mind some fresh air by now...

Aikira starts moving towards the exit, the way they came

Toryn: Toryn starts shooing the prisoners in front of him again (the two orcs since Aikira and Ro are handling the other prisoners)

Ro grabs Toryn's hand in her other hand and starts to walk to the exit

Toothpick walks on.

Toryn: Toryn smiles down at Ro and makes a muscle with his arm then points at Ro

Toryn: " Strong ! Good, good ! "

Rand starts shuffling his orc to the exit again

Toryn: Toryn points at the bodies of the dead creatures Ro helped to defeat as they walk past them

Ro: you took nomrl me undrstaand gewd

Toryn: Toryn looks startled ... " Your common is getting better ! "

Rand: Do you mean that you understand us talking?

Toryn: " Good job Rand, you're an excellent teacher !"

Toryn: " A bit I think " says Toryn looking at Ro

Rand: I don't think this is my doing....

Tala follows, behind everyone else

Toryn: " You've been couching her along the way, remember ? "

Rand: I have a feeling she grew stronger in here as well, receiving a blessing that teaches her to understand us in some way

Toryn: " True we should never underestimate the will of the gods - hmm, let's see if she understands this "

Toryn: Toryn points at himself and says " Brother" then Toryn points at Ro and says " Sister "

Toryn: " Brother ... sister "

Ro shakes her head

Ro: me orc

Ro: u humaan

Rand: Try a full sentence, i think she can understand it better then we think

Toryn: " Your father - my father" says Toryn pointing first at her then himself

Ro: meeh no fadder

Toryn: toryn points at Ro... " Pretty - not all orc .. part human "

As the group walks through the caves, sheparding the prisoners along, they reach the exit much faster than it took to get there

Ro: meeh ugly orc

Rand: You're not ugly, you are gorgeous by many standards

Toryn: toryn shakes his head and smiles, cupping Ro's chin in his hand " No , pretty ... wouldn't you agree Rand? "

Ro shakes her head and looks away

The fire that once stood infront of the enterance to the barrow no longer burns and night has fallen

Rand: I would say drop dead gorgeous, but who am i

Rand: Now, how to collapse the cave

Toothpick crouches and listens intently, scanning the surroundings for possible ambush or counter attack.

Toryn: " Damn ! Good question ! How do we do it ??? "

Ro: can i pickpocket food

Rand: You are a dwarf... do you have any knowledge about caves? maybe you can pinpoint what rock to pull or break to make it collapse

-> ro: sure

Toothpick: Before we start doing anything exciting and noisy like that ... can I suggest we make sure the surroundings are safe ? We wouldnae want to get attacked in the middle of our "engineering".

-> toothpick: you see some shapes creeping through the shadows

Toothpick: I think we have company !

Rand: Sure

-> ro: who are you pickpocketing

Toothpick drops to the floor and rolls to the side.

Toothpick readies crossbow and shouts to his companions.

Rand: uhoh... a bunch of ghouls coming from the shadows... get ready everyone

Toothpick: Can I see where they are ?

Rand grabs his mace and gets ready

Toryn: " Told you - ghouls they're everywhere " growls Toryn at Rand as he readies his sword

Toothpick: I'd like to shout out "Busghes - left 5 yards 3 figures" or the like.

Ro: tala

-> toothpicks: seem to be creeping along the circle to the center of the barrows

Toryn: " My friends, try to get the ghouls in between two of you if possible " shouts Toryn " If we attack them from both sides it makes it easier for us to defeat them ! "

Evil GM: The ghouls start attacking everyone but Toothpick

Evil GM: Going to use the same init order...Toryn is up first

Toryn: Moving in between the wall and a ghoul Toryn swings at a ghoul " Return to the grave from which you came unholy vermin! "

Evil GM: fails

Tala readies her bow

Ro grabs her axe from her back

Ro: i guess my turn is over :P

The axe crackles and sparks red

-> ro: yes

Aikira readies his sword

A ghoul creeps out and tries clawing at Ro

A ghoul gnashes it's teeth and misses clumsily

A ghoul misses Ro as well

Kenny (Ro): u had ur hammer equiped?

Vincent (Rand): yeah

Toryn (Toryn): hate to say this evil GM but until Aikira or someone else reaches me to assist ghouls get flanking bonuses on me

Stuart (Toothpick): Can I move past the two outer ghouls without provoking an aoo ?

Petra (Tala): yes

Toryn: " I told you foul creatures, return to the grave from which you came, in the name of the Lightbringer ! " shouts Toryn swinging again

Stuart (Toothpick): Move Past then shoot crossbow at ghoul.

Petra (Tala): Toryn hits, Toothpick doesn't

A ghoul crumbles in a heap and dissolves into the earth

Tala aims at a ghoul (3) and fires

Toryn: " Take that foul beast " roars Toryn, " Aikira hurry up or there'll be none left for you ! You owe these creatures for last time ! "

Tala with a thunk, the arrow sinks deep into the ghoul (5pts)

Ro takes a swing at Ghoul 1

-> ro: hold a second

-> ro: you get a +2 bonus to hit and 3d6+2 dmg

Ro: WOW

-> ro: go ahead and roll

A ghoul: You hit, give me damage

Evil GM: which ghoul did you just kill?

Kenny (Ro): ghoul1

Rand looks at Ro in shocked horror

Ro looks amazed of the power rushing trough her as she swings the axe

The axe sparks red and crackles with energy as Ro swings it and cuts the ghoul in half

-> ro: it has the cleave ability so you get to try another swing on the other ghoul

Toryn (Toryn): never mind - was checking to see if Toryn saw that

Vincent (Rand): me too, although i stood next to her... better roll

Evil GM: Oh yea, everyone saw this...the crackling itself is noticable

Stuart (Toothpick): OK.

Evil GM: Ro gets one more swing at the other ghoul for some odd reason...

Kenny (Ro): lol

Evil GM: fails

Ro: sweeeet

Aikira comes up and swings at a ghoul (3)

Aikira: REVENGE!

Aikira misses completely (rolling a 1) and sinks his sword into the ground beside the ghoul

A ghoul swings at Rand

Toryn (Toryn): I assume we here Tala laughing her ass off in the background? :P

Petra (A ghoul): very much so

A ghoul misses Rand

A ghoul swings at Toryn

Toryn (Toryn): does Rand get a flanking bonus on the ghoul evil GM ?

Rand casts Yaulp on himself and attacks the Ghoul

Tala calls from the back "That the best you can do darkie?"

A ghoul dissolves into a pile of bones

Stuart (Toothpick): Shoots at the remaining ghoul.

Toryn (Toryn): does Toryn get a flanking bonus?

Petra (A ghoul): sure

A ghoul: You hit, give me damage

A ghoul crumbles at Toryn's feet

Tala: Wonder why they attacked us now when they left us alone before?

Rand: I dunno... and why did they leave Toothpick alone

Toryn: Toryn strides over and claps both Rand and Ro on the back " Well done - a gentle priest and a young woman turned fierce warriors ! "

Ro checks if the crying orc is ok

Toryn: " That axe is amazing ! Looks like we'll have a fierce warrior and an enchantress ! " says Toryn admiringly glancing at Ro

An Orc snivels and wipes his eyes

Toothpick scans the bushes for more ghouls.

Toryn: " Sorry - thanks for the support with the bow too Toothpick "

Toryn: Toryn checks the piles of goo where the ghouls were to see if there's anything of interest

Ro: he still depressed or getting better?

-> ro: still depressed...won't come undepressed till the song wears off

An Orc: Nothing of intrest in the ghouls remains

Ro: can i do my pickpicket now? lol

-> ro: sure

Toothpick nods.

Toryn (Toryn): (laughs) - well Toryn WAS looking to see if there's more ghouls

Ro: food from Tala :P

-> ro: haha

-> ro: you find some trail mix

Ro: whats that?

-> ro: peanuts, raisons, dried fruit

Ro: oh ok

Evil GM: Everyone give me listen rolls

Ro gives the trail mix to the orc

-> toothpick: you hear howling in the distance...this is a haunted forest at night with all sorts of nasties as you well know from living in Brighthaven

Toothpick: I think it time we headed out ... there's far nastier beasties in this area than ghouls and theywill surely have been drawn to us.

Rand: Agreed...

Rand takes his orc and starts pushing it to town

Tala: The orcs that were unconcious are awake and struggling in well tied bonds

Toryn: " Let's go let's go " says Toryn shooing the orcs along

Toothpick: And what are we going to do with them ?

Rand: hand them over to the town to judge as the court sees fit

Toryn: " Take them with us - look at it this way Tootpick, if they're in front of us the beasties will attack the orcs first" Toryn chuckles at his ownjoke

Toryn: " Yes seriously I plan on taking them to Brighthaven and letting the town elders decide"

Toryn: " Besides which we haven't interrogated them yet - what were they doing in that cave ? "

Ro: weet me tolk tem

Toryn: " And Ro can talk to them, yes "

Stuart (Toothpick): So are we heading back to town ?

Evil GM: Ok......that's it for tonight please

Vincent (Rand): yeah

Toryn (Toryn): got it - do we get xp ? :)

Kenny (Ro): if u want we can have the conversation with the orcs out of game another day Petra

Evil GM: I'm going to assume you guys are headed back to Brighthaven and will start there next Monday

Petra (Evil GM): Yes, you get XP ;-) I'll calculate it and get it up tomorrow along with the chat log

Toryn (Toryn): yay!

Stuart (Toothpick): Many thanks people.

Toryn (Toryn): we probably talk to the orcs on the way to Brighthaven I'd imagine

Stuart (Toothpick): I'd vote for getting away from here but then if you want to question the orcs ... fine by me.
